Logan had just finished fastening his cape on when the doorbell rang. He popped the fake teeth in his mouth and made it to the door just as the bell rang again.

"Happy Halloween!" he said as he opened both doors in a grand gesture.

Darla lets Logan take her hand. There is a livid mark X'ed across it, but it is already fading. "I'll be fine. I appreciate the thought, though."

Cautiously, she seats herself back down on the couch, keeping her hands in her lap. "Where were we. Oh, yes, you were telling me how much you enjoyed Ethics class. I heard you had an... interesting assignment recently."

"We did," Logan said. "Did your boy tell you all about it? He was heavily involved with the set-up."

"I might have mentioned a little bit," Angelus sat on the armrest of the couch, reaching to take Darla's hand in his so he could massage the pain away or make it worse but only in interesting ways. To Darla he said, "it was the one about slavery. Logan unfortunately had his hands full with Parker."

Darla turned a look of sympathy on Logan. "I'm so sorry for you." She winces and smiles as Angelus hits a particuarly sensitive spot. She leans her head against Angelus' side. "I hope you got a chance to punish her for her pranks."

"Not yet," Logan said grimly.

"If you need any ideas, I would be delighted to help," Darla said sweetly.

"Thank you," Logan said. "So. Halloween Ball. Vulgarity with alcohol. Wanna go?"

"I'm always up for a party. Would they mind uninvited guests?"

Logan handed her a crumpled flyer. "Everyone's invited," he said.

"The what now?" Angelus asked.

"Halloween. Ball," Logan repeated slowly. "Seriously, man, does the vampire package come with an increased hearing option? Because you might want to upgrade."

"In this town that sadly doesn't mean virgins," Angelus warned her.

"Virgins are passe, darling. And not just because they've gotten exceedingly hard to find."

Logan snorted. "If you want virgins, just dress as Celine Dion."

"Who is Celine Dion?" Darla asks, confused.

"Demon," Angelus replied.

"Ah. Be that as it may... party, Lover? Soft sweetly-smelling teenagers with all their lusts and hopes? Please?"

Angelus made a face. "You know I hate going out on Halloween. It's silly, foolish... " Like a wet paper bag, he melted at the look she was giving him. He grinned down at her like a besotted fool and cupped her chin in his hand. "Oh all right. But only because I can't ever say no to you. Not without you making me beg so prettily for forgiveness."

Logan grinned at the two of them. "Let's go," he said.
