Logan closed the door behind them and leaned against it, looking at Veronica. "That was, to put it mildly, odd."

Veronica rolled her eyes. "You know I was kidding, right?"

"I was rather hoping you weren't," Logan said, sliding up her body and kissing her neck.

Veronica arched against him. "I'm afraid to ask who the other girl was in that mental image," she said.

Logan shrugged. "I couldn't see her face, but she looked damn good in that outfit. Though not, of course, as good as you did in yours."

Veronica rolled her eyes again before taking Logan's face in her hands and kissing him.

Logan kissed her back with urgency.

Veronica shifted so her arms were wrapped around Logan, holding him close.

Logan pulled back just enough to look at her face. "I love you," he whispered, brushing a bit of hair off her forehead.
