The Arms Hotel - Saturday Morning - Angel's room

When Logan finally made it back to the hotel after the dance, Angel was already asleep. Logan showered and cleaned up his wounds in his own room, then went through the connecting doors to the other room and crawled into bed next to Angel.

Logan's head was pounding when he woke up the next morning. He considered getting up for painkillers and/or alcohol, then decided it was less painful to stay put.

Logan swallowed the asprin and chugged a large amount of the water. He shrugged. "Bel was being a dick."

"And you couldn't be the more matu... actually wait, forget I even started that sentence."

"He didn't think I'd stand up to him without you around to 'protect' me," Logan said with disgust.

Angel blinked. "Has he met you?"

"He's kind of an idiot," Logan said.

"He's not alone," Angel said, giving Logan a Look that was probably lost in the dark. "Finish the water."

Logan may not have seen the Look, but he definitely caught the tone of voice. He chugged the remainder of the water, then leaned over to switch the lamp on.

Angel blinked as he adjusted to the light. He also might not have hidden any looks of concern fast enough to make sure Logan didn't see them.

Logan caught the look on Angel's face. "I'm fine," he said. "Just a little banged up."

"You could not be banged up," Angel pointed out.

"Have you met me?"

Angel had that grin again. Of course now Logan could see it. "Sit up. Lemme take a look at the bruises."

"Seriously, it's no big," Logan said, but he pulled himself up into a sitting position, only wincing slightly.

Angel rolled his eyes. "Right. 'cause I don't know anything about pain. Here. Think you can hold the ice?"

Logan took the ice from Angel and held it against the bruise on his face. "I'm not mortally wounded. Just a little sore."

"Oh well, then it's fine." Angel rolled his eyes. Then he leaned in as though to kiss Logan, but then stopped himself. He looked at Logan uncertainly.

Logan gave Angel a puzzled look. "What?"

"Didn't know if you - uh - " Angel shrugged. Shrugging didn't involve talking.

Logan smiled. "Duh," he said, and leaned in to kiss Angel.

Angel lost a bit of stress he hadn't even known he was holding as he kissed Logan back.
