Sunday Afternoon - Echolls Residence

Logan returned from Wonka's Candy Shop just as the Christmas tree was delivered. Logan directed them to set it up in the living room.

He flopped down on the couch and turned on the TV to watch Scrooged while waiting for the decorations to be delivered.



[Open to house residents and friends. The professional decorators aren't going to show, so we'll have to improvise. And there's candy!]

Jake grinned. "Hee. Shiny. Shouldn't it be decorated?" He nodded towards the tree.

"The decorators aren't coming. We get to do it," Rory said with a roll of her eyes. "Come on, people. We're creative. We should be able to do this."

"Hey Rory," Krycek nodded to her in greeting. "Did anyone get any decorations to put up or were the decorators going to bring them?"

"I don't think we have any," Angela answers. "Hi, Jake, Krycek. Don't ask about why Parker and I have all the twinkle lights."

"Yeah, they were supposed to bring them." Rory sighed, and smiled, surveying the group. "Okay. Jake and Alex, do me a favor and go get all the coffee filters you have lying around, okay? And hell, any color paper you might have, too. And Liz, want to pop popcorn and see if you can find something resembling string?"

She looked to Angela, Barbossa, Parker and Logan, and held up a hand to her chin. "Okay. Logan, do you have maybe a pillow you're not all that fond of? Or...a few of them?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Sure, I can do that," she said, disappearing into the kitchen.

Jake started nodding, then, "All the filters?"

"A lot," Rory amended. "Enough to make snowflakes and little angels to decorate that tree. I know you have a huge supply. You can spare a few. Oh, and dig up some scissors, if you can."

She turned back to the others, and then shot Jake a look over her shoulder. "You're feeling okay, right? Better?"

"Yeah, okay." Jake blinked. "You can make those? Cool!" He grabbed Krycek's wrist, starting to move away when Rory spoke again. "Yeah, I'm fine," he said, surprised. "I'm.. yeah. Coffee filters and scissors coming up!"

"Yep, there'b thomb..." He sighed, gave her an exasperated smile, and held up a finger for her to wait. He went into one of the guest rooms and returned with several pillows.

Parker stares after him, then looks from him to Barbossa. "Okay, wait. Now *you* can't talk?"

"Thank you," Rory chirped, oblivious to how he was speaking. She bounced into the kitchen and returned with a knife (though she moved more carefully on the return trip). She promptly sliced the pillows open.

"Okay. We have feathers," she grinned.

"Are we making wings for Parker and Logan?"

"Sure," Rory shrugged. "My mom always taught me that when doing a craft, once must have feathers and/or glitter. And I don't think Logan keeps glitter in the house."

"Cool," Angela says. She scratches her forehead. "What about balloons? We could cover them in paper and feathers to make tree ornaments."

Logan shook his head, then stopped. A grin spread across his face. He left, and returned with a bag of colored (non-lubricated) condoms and handed them to Angela.

Rory blushed, and busied herself with cutting open another pillow.

Angela turns them over in her hand, not sure what they are for a second. Then she registers the writing on the package and echoes Rory's blush. "Um ... great, Logan. Thanks."

She isn't sure she can bring herself to blow up a condom in public, but she opens the bag and puts it on the table of art supplies anyhow.

Parker rolls her eyes. "Echolls, you show-off."

She proceeded to blow up a few of the condoms, tying them off with twisties, smirking the whole time.

Logan shook his head and looked questioningly at Jake and Barbossa.
