After waking up from the nightmare in detention, Logan's heart was pounding and his stomach churning. He managed to make it to a toilet before he vomited.

He clung to the porcelin with sweaty, shaking hands as he puked up everything in his stomach and kept on going. At least it wasn't blood, he thought, as a wave of relief and retching hit him at the same moment.

Logan eyed him. "'No'?"

"Not gonna."

Logan stared at him. "You're a fickle little vamp, aren't you?"

"I'm not little," Angel complained. He shifted over so that he and Logan were sitting side by side with their backs to the wall. "Besides, I can be very stubborn when I want to be."

"Oh, no," Logan said. "Don't go feeling sorry for me or any of that crap. I do just fine without you around."

"All right," Angel said, reasonably, "I won't."

He stayed right where he was, though.

Logan gave him a suspicious look.

Angel looked back at him innocently.

"All right!" Logan threw up his hands. "We can be friends again. But no hairbraiding, no sleepovers and could you please stop telling people we didn't have sex?"

Angel started to smile, then frowned.

"I should tell people we had sex?"

"Don't talk about us and sex at all!" Logan said. "If you deny it, that just makes people think it happened."

"But it didn't."

"Duh."

"You're not my type."

Logan sighed. "We've been through this."

"Plus Cal would kill you."

"Right!" Logan said. "This is why you need to stop saying sentences that involve you, me and sex in any way, shape or form. You know what gossip's like around here."

"Look, it's not my fault that John and Bel have dirty minds!" Angel said. He made the hand gesture. "Does that look like sex to you?"

Logan raised his eyebrows and nodded.

"Really?" Angel made the gesture again, staring at it. "I thought it meant fangy."

Logan shook his head. "Fangy would be more like this." He made a different hand gesture.

"Huh," Angel said, thoughtfully. "Yeah, I can see how that's a little fangier."

"See?" Logan gave Angel a light punch on the shoulder. "You need me around."

A smile started to shape the corners of Angel's lips. "Yeah, but, don't go feeling sorry for me or anything. I did totally fine before I met you. Hundred years of solitude lets you get some quality brooding in."

Logan rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes, you've got the brooding thing down pat. But I bet you suck at surfing."
