Logan lounged on his bed listening to his iPod, trying not to think about yesterday's events.

Logan considered this. "No, you're right. I'll have to go down to Caritas and find out information for myself."

Veronica sighed. "If you guys want to screw with Parker, that's fine. But be nice to Jarod, okay? He really is a good guy."

"We're just trying to protect him," Logan said straight-faced.

"Protect him?" she asked.

Logan nodded. "We want to be sure he can fully appreciate Parker. She's like a fine wine. Or possibly a smelly cheese. Point is, not everyone's right for her."

"Whatever," Veronica said, shaking her head. "You two are incorrigible"

"The important thing is that we're not having sex," Logan said.

"Well that's reassuring," Veronica said, sliding on to Logan's lap and leaning over to kiss him.

Logan wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. "Just wanted to make that clear," he murmured.

Veronica smiled. "I love you," she whispered.

She pushed him down so he was lying on his back and straddled him. "So just how much did you miss me?" she teased.

"A whole lot," Logan said, running his hands up her side. Images from the dream appeared before his eyes. He swallowed, and forced them out of his head. "In fact, it's been so long, I don't remember what to do anymore. You'll have to show me."

"Four days and you don't remember?" she asked, sliding her hands under his shirt. "I guess we need to practice more."

"I think we do," Logan said, pulling his shirt off.

"No time like the present to start," Veronica agreed, running her hands over his chest.

Logan rested his hands above his head. "Do with me as you will," he smiled.
