Saturday, November 18 - Evening

Logan had on his best suit and tie and was waiting in the lobby of the Hyperion for Angel to come down.

"Nope," Logan said. "Didn't see the point, since we won't be going back there tonight."

"Where we going?" Angel asked.

"There's a hotel attached to this place," Logan said. "I reserved us a room."

That grin was starting to come out again. "Yeah? Just one?"

"And just one bed," Logan added. The other guests had wandered off, so he and Angel were alone now.

Angel reached over and subtly tugged on Logan's belt. "Just one of those too, huh?"

Logan drew close enough to Angel to rest his arms around his waist. "I hope that's okay," he said.

"Atonement's a bitch," Angel replied, still grinning.

Logan took a quick look around the basement to check for bystanders, then leaned in and kissed Angel.

Angel kissed Logan back, ready to stop at any second if Logan wanted to.

Logan didn't show signs of stopping any time soon. His arms tightened around Angel.

In Angel's mind were memories - rather painful ones in fact - of what had happened one year ago. To Rory, to Logan, and to him.

And part of him was tempted to stay with those memories. To keep himself to the dark and not let anything through.

But Logan was, and always had been, a hard guy to say no to.

Angel deepened the kiss.

Logan preferred not to dwell on the past. Besides, if he thought about what had happened a year ago compared to what was happening now - well, that was weird and a little twisted and he preferred keeping the two versions of Angel far apart in his head.

Angel, on the other hand, had no desire for distance right now. At least not between him and Logan. "Show me the room?"

"Sure you don't want to stick around and see more magic?"

"...do you really want me to do the joke about making our own?" Angel replied.

Logan laughed. "Let's go, then," he said. He took Angel's hand in his and headed for the stairs.
