A Room in the Arms Hotel, Saturday Afternoon

When Logan found the note to meet in the room he had secretly reserved in another name, he thought he knew who to expect there. No one was in the room when he arrived. He unbuttoned his shirt and draped himself sexily in a chair to await the other's arrival.

Not long after, Bel shimmered into the room, having also received a similar note. "Ready to go another round already?" he smirked.

"Could be," Logan grinned. "But you already knew that or you wouldn't have asked me to meet you here."

"Wait a minute," Bel said. "You sent me a note to meet you here. Not something I'm going to turn down, of course."

"No, you sent the note." Logan pulled a wrinkled piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Bel.

Bel stared at the note. "I didn't send that," he said. "I got this from you." He withdrew his own note and handed it to Logan.

Logan compared the notes. "Then someone knows about us!" he exclaimed.

"That's impossible," Bel said. "We've been so careful!"

A dark-haired woman shimmered into the room. "Not careful enough, my son," she said. "I know what you've been doing. Or who."

Logan jumped up. "Who are you?!"

"My mother," Bel growled, moving between Elishevara and Logan. No way was he going to let her harm Logan, not after he realized that their constant fighting was just his way of hiding his true feelings for him, passions that burned brighter than any he had felt before. "My dead mother," he added.

Elishevara laughed. "You of all people should know death isn't always a permanent condition," she said. "And I was perfectly content not to meddle in your business until I discovered your twisted, tawdry relations with this one." She stabbed a finger at Logan.

Logan glared at her. "Our relations are none of your business!"

"Ah, but they are," Elishevara said. "As Belthazor is my son . . . and so are you."

". . . what?" Bel said eloquently.

"Impossible!" Logan declared.

"You are my son, Logan Echolls," Elishevara said. "Or should I call you by your demon name, Loganazor."

"He's not a demon!" Bel said. "I'd know if he was."

"Definitely don't call me that," Logan said. "And it can't be. I don't have powers!"

"You just haven't known to use them," Elishevara said. "You are half-demon, half-human. You are Belthazor's half-brother."

"He is not!" Bel said angrily, in complete denial. "You're just trying to ruin things for me because I've finally found my true soulmate!"

"Wait, so if I concentrated..." Logan held up his hand and stared at it. A fireball burst onto his palm.

Elishevara clapped her hands. "Well done, my boy. Perhaps you'll be less of a disappointment to me than your brother. I had high hopes for the vampire to corrupt you."

Bel shook his head. "It's a trick. It's not true. It's impossible!" He looked at Logan. "She's not your mother, you know who your mother is."

Logan lifted up his other hand and conjured a second fireball. "Dude. This is awesome!"

"Perhaps my younger boy will be the demon I want him to be," Elishevara said. "You just need training. The Brotherhood will take care of that."

Bel tensed, remembering his own trauma at the hands of the Brotherhood. For a brief moment, the exquisite pain of the memory crossed his face, completely with a black and white flashback. "You're not taking him anywhere," he growled. "Over my dead body."

"I wonder if I could-" Logan abruptly vanished. And just as suddenly shimmered back. "My days getting hassled by airport security are gone forever!"

"Indeed," Elishevara said. "Oh, and what Belthazor said is correct. I am not your mother." Her form shimmered and changed. "Loganazor, I am your father."

Bel just stared.

Logan stared. "D-dad?"

"Looks like I kept more than one secret from you son," Aaron said.

"This isn't happening," Bel muttered, pacing. His mother was Logan's father. And she . . . he . . . was going to try to take him away from him.

Logan had turned pale. "But you're dead. You're gone. It was all over!"

"I just let you think that," Aaron said. "I wanted to give you some time to develop on your own. See what kind of man you'd become. Instead I find you sneaking around and offering yourself up to your brother."

"Get out of here!" Bel snapped. "You leave him -- and me -- alone. Or I'll kill you. Again."

"No," Logan said. "This time I'll kill him. Her. Whatever." He stood shoulder to shoulder with Bel. He held up his hand and a threatening fireball appeared.

"I'm not done with you yet, boy," Aaron threatened, but he shimmered out of the room.

An awkward silence fell, then Bel turned to Logan. "This . . . doesn't change how I feel about you. I don't care if it's wrong."

"It explains why I've always felt so connected to you," Logan said. "Even when we were fighting, I was drawn to you."

Bel nodded. "We're connected," he agreed. "We belong together."

"Nothing can ever keep us apart!"

"Nothing!" Bel said, yanking Logan against him.

Logan kissed Bel passionately as the screen faded to black.
