A Room in the Arms Hotel, Saturday Afternoon

When Logan found the note to meet in the room he had secretly reserved in another name, he thought he knew who to expect there. No one was in the room when he arrived. He unbuttoned his shirt and draped himself sexily in a chair to await the other's arrival.

"This isn't happening," Bel muttered, pacing. His mother was Logan's father. And she . . . he . . . was going to try to take him away from him.

Logan had turned pale. "But you're dead. You're gone. It was all over!"

"I just let you think that," Aaron said. "I wanted to give you some time to develop on your own. See what kind of man you'd become. Instead I find you sneaking around and offering yourself up to your brother."

"Get out of here!" Bel snapped. "You leave him -- and me -- alone. Or I'll kill you. Again."

"No," Logan said. "This time I'll kill him. Her. Whatever." He stood shoulder to shoulder with Bel. He held up his hand and a threatening fireball appeared.

"I'm not done with you yet, boy," Aaron threatened, but he shimmered out of the room.

An awkward silence fell, then Bel turned to Logan. "This . . . doesn't change how I feel about you. I don't care if it's wrong."

"It explains why I've always felt so connected to you," Logan said. "Even when we were fighting, I was drawn to you."

Bel nodded. "We're connected," he agreed. "We belong together."

"Nothing can ever keep us apart!"

"Nothing!" Bel said, yanking Logan against him.

Logan kissed Bel passionately as the screen faded to black.
