Logan lounged on his bed listening to his iPod, trying not to think about yesterday's events.

"Excellent," Logan said. "What did you do there?"

"Oh, you know, touristy stuff," she said. "I also got to meet Piper's grams and her big sister. And we kind of broke into a summer camp she used to go to with her sisters.." Veronica gave Logan a sweet smile.

"Par for the course, then," Logan smiled.

"Pretty much," she agreed. "So did I miss anything fun or exciting around here?"

"Parker's got a boyfriend," Logan grinned. "Know anything about Jarod? Bartends at Caritas?"

"Parker and Jarod?" Veronica repeated, eyes wide. "Yeah, I know Jarod. He's a total sweetheart."

"Oh." Logan may have sounded slightly disappointed. "Well, Angel and I were concerned about Parker. We were wondering if you could find out more information about this Jarod."

Veronica gave him a skeptical look. "You and Angel are concerned about Parker?" she said. "Why do I have the feeling that your motives are less than pure?"

"Please?" Logan said. "You have no idea the crap Parker put me through when I was dating Rory. I just want a little payback. Not in a harmful way, though."

"And you want to put me in the middle?" Veronica asked. "I don't have any problems with Parker."

Logan considered this. "No, you're right. I'll have to go down to Caritas and find out information for myself."

Veronica sighed. "If you guys want to screw with Parker, that's fine. But be nice to Jarod, okay? He really is a good guy."

"We're just trying to protect him," Logan said straight-faced.

"Protect him?" she asked.

Logan nodded. "We want to be sure he can fully appreciate Parker. She's like a fine wine. Or possibly a smelly cheese. Point is, not everyone's right for her."

"Whatever," Veronica said, shaking her head. "You two are incorrigible"

"The important thing is that we're not having sex," Logan said.

"Well that's reassuring," Veronica said, sliding on to Logan's lap and leaning over to kiss him.

Logan wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. "Just wanted to make that clear," he murmured.

Veronica smiled. "I love you," she whispered.

"I love you too," Logan smiled.

She pushed him down so he was lying on his back and straddled him. "So just how much did you miss me?" she teased.

"A whole lot," Logan said, running his hands up her side. Images from the dream appeared before his eyes. He swallowed, and forced them out of his head. "In fact, it's been so long, I don't remember what to do anymore. You'll have to show me."

"Four days and you don't remember?" she asked, sliding her hands under his shirt. "I guess we need to practice more."
